The third
segment of our series is entitled “stop smoking
tomorrow”. This audio program contains strategies for
maintaining a healthy lifestyle as a non smoker today
and tomorrow, It includes techniques to for enjoying
healthy weight, regular exercise, and successful stress
management.
This
program is like having your own personal trainer or
coach to assist you in obtaining and maintaining the
positive benefits you have already achieved, and
ensuring that those benefits are carried forward in the
future, today and tomorrow. Track #2 contains the
specific behavioral strategies and can be practiced with
eyes open. Track #3 contains the deep hypnosis with
suggestions for remaining a healthy non-smoker. Remember
please do not listen to this while driving, and when you
listen use stereo headphones to obtain the benefits of

TRACK #2
Now, allow
yourself to get comfortable, let’s practice our power
techniques. The first strategy I want to introduce to
you to enhance your success is self hypnosis.
Self hypnosis is a powerful and effective technique to
not only elicit the relaxation response but also to
deepen your commitment to total health and well being.
Just follow along with me... there are seven easy steps.
Let’s begin.
1. Inhale
2. Look up
3. Place the thumb and forefinger together
4. Hold the breath
5. Relax the eyes down and
6. Exhale, and as you do
7. Think “FREE and at PEACE” and allow a feeling of
warmth and relaxation to flow down your body like a
soothing ocean wave.
Now imagine
a split screen just above your forehead, with your
current situation or your challenge on the left side of
the screen, and your ideal image/solution on the right.
(for example, if you ever experience a craving for a
destructive habit, you may want to imagine yourself,
having that experience on the left side and then on the
right side of the screen imagine, experience yourself
free of that habit----imagine the details of the scene
on the right side, you may want to add color and light,
brighten the picture...Good) Now move your eyes rapidly
from the left to right side, back and forth. The left
side of your screen represents what is passing out of
your life and the right side of the screen symbolizes
your future.
Good. The
more you practice, the better. Like Classical
Conditioning, soon all you will need to do is to place
the thumb and forefinger together and the powerfully
peaceful association will have been made.
Let’s do that once more:
1.Inhale

accubreathe
The next easy strategy to learn any time you feel
cravings, tension, or distress is a simple tapping
procedure combined with diaphragmatic or belly
breathing. It’s called “accubreathe”. Let’s do it.
Take the
first two fingers of each hand, and begin tapping on the
acupressure points just under your eyes on your
cheekbones. While you are tapping, breathe deeply, using
yogic breathing which is simply exhaling twice as long
as you inhale. Initially, it may help to count your
breaths. Ready, let’s begin, inhale two counts, exhale
four counts. Remember to keep tapping at the same time
you are breathing. Inhale three counts exhale six
counts. That’s the idea. Doesn’t that feel good!
Notice how cravings and other distress simply
disappear!!

Notice how relaxed and comfortable you feel right now
and there is not a cigarette in your mouth. You have
successfully achieved your goal as a non smoker. Now,
allow the image of you as a healthy, active non- smoker
to now make a permanent and lasting impression on your
powerful perfect subconscious mind. Now that you have
experienced success overcoming the smoking habit, you
find it easier to realize your goals in other areas of
your life. You naturally and effortlessly chose healthy
foods and only eat when you are hungry for food, and
then you eat slowly and mindfully, choosing fresh fruits
and vegetables, whole grains and plant based foods. You
are attracted to clear fresh water and you exercise
regularly, taking good care of your body. Yes you are on
track now, and you are guided by the incredible power of
your subconscious mind. All levels of your mind have
joined together to assist you in achieving your goals.
You are healthy, happy, strong and relaxed. You
strengthen your free will by exercising daily, by
practicing the powerful and simple strategies you have
learned. You are aware and at peace. If you ever
experience cravings for poison or fatty unhealthy food,
you now see those cravings as a spoiled young child,
like a two year old. You know, the other day i was
shopping at the grocery store, buying food for my five
children. I saw a young pretty woman with her small
child. The child saw something he wanted, some candy or
something, and he began to scream and scream. The mother
began to get upset, she wasn't; sure whether to indulge
the child just to stop the screaming and make herself
more comfortable, but instead she decided to be kind but
firm and stated that the candy was not a good choice.
This mother made a decision to be loving and firm even
though it was a little uncomfortable at first. So in the
future, the little boy knows how to comfort himself
without expecting to have his every whim indulged. He
has grown into a strong, healthy child and his mother is
proud of her own discipline.
And you can
teach your little cravings that everything is going to
be just fine, and instead of indulging them, you now
choose healthy activities like breathing, drinking
water, exercising, and pursuit of your interests. You
may even rekindle an interest you had when you were a
child!
Yes you
have learned how powerful your own thoughts are and that
your thoughts have physiological consequences. That’s
why you switch your thoughts if they rest on a negative
picture. You just switch them to a positive image, like
you as a relaxed, healthy, energetic non-smoker!! You
handle challenges differently now. You welcome life
situations as opportunities for growth, and every day
you become stronger and happier.
You are
free now. You have developed new and healthy habits to
replace the old outworn habits that no longer serve you.
You feel robustly healthy and you sleep soundly at
night. You notice that keeping a regular schedule
assists you in achieving your goals and you fall asleep
easily at night awakening only at your pre-determined
time in the morning, unless there is an important reason
to awaken such as attending to a physiological need. You
are a success, loving and accepting all aspects of
yourself, and continuing to embrace and love all parts
of you allows you to be able to love others even more
completely. You live in the present moment and you are
aware that you can handle anything in the present
moment. You mind does not go backwards to your past, nor
forward to you future. You are engaged in life, a happy
healthy, joyful, energetic picture of health!
Now it’s time to return to your outer awareness. If you
are listening to this recording before you go to bed at
night, then by the time I say 5, you will sink into a
deep, profoundly restful sleep, sleeping all night long,
awakening only at your pre-determined time in the
morning. If it is not time to go to sleep, then as I
count from one to five, you can become more and more
awake. And when you awaken fully, you will feel
refreshed, revitalized, restored, full of energy and
experiencing a joyful presence.
1, slowly returning to your regular awareness
2, every muscle and nerve in the body is relaxed and at
ease
3, you are feeling wonderful in every way, physically
strong, healthy, vibrant and energized, mentally alert
and amused, an easy joy, emotionally, peaceful and
filled with love
4, your eyes are sparkling clear as though they were
bathed in a clear spring water, you see clearly, seeing
things in their true perspective without magnifying or
distorting…seeing things from a perspective of the
observer, not taking things personally, and the next
number I count, if it’s not time to go to sleep, on
5, open your eyes and notice how good you feel.
